Operation Nebular - Reporting crime and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) |
||
|
Dear Resident, I just wanted to provide a quick update around reporting incidents to the police and council as part of Operation Nebular. Firstly, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to report issues. I know that ASB can have a real impact on people's quality of life and the information received from residents helps build a clearer picture of what's happening. When to call 999Please call 999 immediately if: In short, if there is an immediate risk, an ongoing crime, or a situation that requires an urgent police response, please call 999. Reporting anti-social behaviourFor non-urgent anti-social behaviour linked to Operation Nebular, there are several agencies that can receive reports. However, to help keep everything in one place and ensure nothing gets missed, I'd ask that residents report incidents directly to Kent Police using the following link and mark the report for my attention where possible: Report antisocial behaviour | Kent Police I am also looking at creating a QR code to make reporting even easier, so residents can quickly submit information from their phones. Reporting other non-urgent mattersFor non-urgent crimes or issues that are not related to Operation Nebular, please continue to report these through the usual channels via: Given the location is close to a leisure centre and multi storey car park, there will inevitably be some general issues of noise and nuisance, which would be expected. However, if behaviour is persistent, excessive, intimidating, causing alarm or distress, or is clearly beyond what most people would consider reasonable, I would strongly encourage you to report it. I am committed to working with residents and partner agencies to address the issues being experienced and your reports are a part of that process. Many thanks, Nick | ||
